Two industry leaders in spray foam help deliver warmth and protection to animals in need.
WARRENTON, Missouri, December 11, 2025. — PolyCon, a leading spray foam manufacturer and iFOAM, a professional spray foam insulation contractor, joined forces to bring crucial warmth, safety, and long-term protection to the rescue dogs housed at No Time To Spare Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need. Together, in the first week of November, 2025, the companies completed an insulation upgrade for No Time To Spare’s 2,000-square-foot kennel, installing PolyCon’s high-performance closed-cell spray foam just ahead of the winter season.
As a nonprofit, No Time To Spare relies heavily on community generosity. The organization’s kennel came with fiberglass insulation which was causing the metal building to oxidize from the inside out. Their need to reduce heating and cooling costs and preserve the integrity of the metal building made spray foam the best option—PolyCon and IFOAM stepped in. Founder and Owner Carol Risley and Community Relations & Engagement Lead Sue Stites’ expert guidance and support were instrumental in spearheading and facilitating this insulation project.
PolyCon donated the closed cell spray foam insulation, PC 2000 HFO, providing the barn with a high-R-value insulation upgrade built to outperform traditional fiberglass. As a trusted spray foam manufacturer, PolyCon supplied materials are engineered for superior moisture control, air sealing, and long-term durability.
iFOAM installed 2.5 inches of PolyCon’s PC 2000 HFO closed cell spray foam insulation throughout the building, pro-bono. The closed-cell spray foam insulation is the best option to insulate the metal building that houses the dogs, due to its ability to perform in high moisture environments, and air seal the metal substrate keeping the building cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
One of the project’s greatest challenges was working within a fully active shelter housing more than 50 dogs at any given time. The iFOAM crew navigated tight spaces, kennels, and ongoing activity outside of the facility—all while maintaining precision, safety, and efficiency during installation.
Despite the logistical obstacles, the results were outstanding. The new closed cell insulation immediately increased warmth throughout the kennel and provided significantly better performance than fiberglass. An unexpected benefit was the insulation’s natural sound-dampening effect— No Time to Spare staff noticed an immediate improvement in sound reduction—an advantage in a facility where dozens of dogs can be vocal at once. Sue Stites, Community Relations & Engagement noted, “The second every dog gets up, they’re barking for their morning food. What really made a huge difference was the sound dampening.”
The insulation upgrade is projected to significantly reduce heating and cooling costs. Previously, the shelter’s heater struggled to maintain a consistent temperature. With the shelter now properly sealed and insulated with PC 2000 HFO spray foam insulation, the heating system can operate more efficiently, lowering both energy use and long-term maintenance costs.
This donation reflects PolyCon and iFOAM’s shared commitment to strengthening their local communities and supporting causes that align with their values of generosity, environmental responsibility, and community involvement.
